Michael has over 17 years of experience in luxury hotel management. He began his career at the Four Seasons in several locations in the USA, during which time he was director of restaurants for the launch of Michelin-starred restaurant L’Atelier de Joel Robuchon at the Four Seasons in New York. Before his tenure at Rosewood London, Michael was at Claridge’s, first as food & beverage manager and latterly as hotel operations manager.
The British Museum is a must, it’s super close to Rosewood London and has a very eclectic line-up of rotating exhibitions. Covent Garden is also revitalised, so quite often I wander over there and explore what is new. From there you can see the re-vamped Royal Opera House or find the coolest little bars and hottest restaurants. If you have time, check out all the new stores, too – especially Petersham nurseries or the fab Tom Ford store.
