“Heritage landmark on the River of Kings”

In the middle of the 19th century, Thailand’s first luxury hotel emerged on the banks of the Chao Phraya River to provide a haven of rest for travelers to Bangkok. Today, the hotel continues this heritage, with 11 restaurants and bars including Bamboo Bar ranked #35 on the world’s 50 Best Bars List, two swimming pools, the Oriental Spa (the only Forbes 5 star spa in Thailand) and legendary hospitality honed to an art form in the 140-plus years the hotel has been open. Mandarin Oriental, Bangkok has been revamped in recent years, including a full overhaul of the River Wing completed in 2019, but fans will be delighted to know the heart and soul of the grand dame is still very much intact.
