National Monument (Indonesia)

The National Monument (Indonesian: Monumen Nasional, abbreviated Monas) is a 132 m (433 ft.) tower in the center of Merdeka Square, Central Jakarta, symbolizing the fight for Indonesia. It is the national monument of the Republic of Indonesia, built to commemorate the struggle for Indonesian independence. Construction began in 1961 under the direction of President Soekarno. Monas was opened to the public in 1975. It is topped by a flame covered with gold foil.

Senayan Golf Course

City golf course reachable within 30 minutes from the hotel. A par-69, playing a humble 5,600 yards awaits the golfer. The course is visually stunning. The native cow grass is completely absent, begin replaced with Peplum turf grass tee-boxes, fairways and rough and Tifeagle Bermuda grass greens. Previous flat fairways have given way to earth mounded and undulated fairways.
