The story of Kudanil Explorer begins in the 1970s with one seafarer’s fascination with Indonesian waters, and continues with a working ocean vessel converted into a luxury expedition yacht. Its heavy duty exterior belies the luxurious comfort within, and hints at its former incarnation as safety standby vessel, making it one of the safest ways to explore the region. There’s plenty of space too – all 1,000 sq. m. of it (and three tenders) between a maximum of 16 guests, housed in eight berths with all the modern luxuries you need to explore islands lost in time.

The Kudanil Explorer has a total of eight cabins which are actually rather staterooms given their size and comfort. All staterooms are above sea level, identical in size (each 30.5 sq. m.) and complete with en-suite bathrooms. Each stateroom also features a spacious, private balcony with a daybed and coffee table set up. Designed by French Alix Thomsen, the rooms are elegantly decorated with a mix of traditional Indonesian ikats and artwork as well as modern amenities with great attention to detail.

Each cabin features an ensuite bathroom, private balcony with daybed, TV / Entertainment system, safe, twin / double setup possible, 3rd bed for children add-on possible.

Born in 1981 in France, Thibaud started sailing with his father at the age of six. He has been working in Indonesia as a ship owner for 10 years, for his uncle Remi. They developed the Kudanil Explorer Yacht together and he runs the operations of the ship. Thibaud tailor makes the cruise to the guest preference. He loves surfing and diving, exploring remote parts of Indonesia, and accompanied by expert guides, he endeavors to deliver the best possible guest experience.
