“Canopied luxury with private pools”

Forget thinking out of the box – Capella is thinking out of the canopy and into a private pool with its new ultra-luxury tented camp by the sacred Wos River on the Islands of the Gods. Private saltwater Jacuzzi pools in each of the 22 tents, Capella Culturists, a tented gymnasium, and a full service spa … all this without cutting a single tree during construction. Speaking of trees, take your pick on how to enjoy the surrounding dense rainforest – from your outdoor deck over a candlelit dinner, from the 30-meter outdoor pool, or during a journey of adventure wellness.

Capella Ubud

Capella Ubud, Bali is located in dense rainforest on sloping terrain leading to the sacred Wos River in Keliki Village.  Whilst accommodation on flat terrain is available, some of the tents are perched up high and are located on steep terrain.  The safety and security of our guests remains our top priority, as such, we politely advise that the camp would not be best suited for families with children below six years old and guests with mobility challenges due to the nature of the camp site’s terrain.

Bali’s International airport is Ngurah Rai International Airport which is located 1 hour and 45 minutes from Capella Ubud, Bali by car. Ubud centre is only 20 minutes’ drive from the camp.

Keliki Art School
Keliki Art School
"Let your creative juices flow at Keliki Art School as you spend your morning in the very capable hands of I Wayan Gama, renowned as one of the maestros of Keliki. The family compound in which the Keliki Art School is nestled is owned by Wayan, who opened the free-of-charge painting school in 2005 in an effort to preserve the then-declining Keliki painting style.

"Having begun his career as a professional painter back in 2002, Wayan later set up a painting school for children to keep traditional Keliki painting skills and culture alive. This is your opportunity to learn from the master and create an exquisite piece of art to remember your time at Capella Ubud."
On Top of the World Mount Batur Hiking
On Top of the World Mount Batur Hiking
"From Toya Bungkah village, you’ll begin your hike before dawn under a blanket of a million stars and trek safely at a pace that suits your group. From the summit you’ll watch the sky turn from dark purple to a multitude of colours like sapphire blue, burnt orange and deep pink as the sun rises over the eastern ocean. The daylight will reveal fantastic panoramic photo opportunities of the volcanic valley and spectacular views of holy Mount Agung, Mount Abang and Mount Rinjani all the way in Lombok.

"Your Camp Ranger will organize a hearty breakfast to enjoy at the summit as you watch Bali wake up below – a well-deserved reward for the early wake-up call and physical exertion."
The Art of Jamu

"A traditional Indonesian medicine with incredible health benefits and a fascinating history. You will be able to handpick the ingredients from the camp’s organic garden before following the Jamu specialist through the rice paddies to our local farmers’ hut."
A Soul Reborn
A Soul Reborn
"A deeply spiritual tradition that is one of Bali's many magical rituals which involves using water as a ritual cleanser. Below our lush jungle gardens, you will find The Beji, an ancient spring of rejuvenating holy water just footsteps from mystical Wos River that is protected by Mythical dragons and the Wos River Temple.

"Dressed in traditional Balinese attire, you will be guided through chanting and offering by a local priest. While chanting, the priest will purify you with holy water as a blessing to your body and soul. At the end of the ritual, you will be given lucky charm bracelet 'Tridatu' as a symbol of the Three
Goddesses Brahma the creator, Vishnu the preserver, and Shiva the destroyer."

Nusantara by Locavore
Nusantara by Locavore
"Locavore takes its philosophy of seeking out Indonesian ingredients across the street to its newest restaurant. Nusantara is Indonesian for ‘archipelago’ -- the thousands of diverse islands that make up the country of Indonesia. Here, classic Indonesian dishes from all over the nation are celebrated by chefs who combine the freshest of local, seasonal components and ethical meats in nuanced, artisanal recipes.

"Balinese chef Putu and his sous chefs from West Java, Medan and North Sumatra are constantly coming up with new dishes to keep the menu fresh. This authentic Indonesian restaurant offers a unique version of the country’s rich culinary heritage. The menu focuses on traditional flavours from across the Indonesian archipelago, bringing authentic, less-known regional dishes to diners from around the world in a casual environment. Busy from the day it opened its doors in mid-2017, Nusantara is set to become one of the most intriguing Indonesian fine dining restaurants in the country."
