“City center elegance”

Sometimes we yearn to be surprised with in-your-face designs, while at other times, we love a hotel that’s like a best friend – constantly and elegantly in the background, always graciously there for you when you need it. Shopping? There’s a glitzy Landmark Atrium just downstairs. Hungry? A two Michelin-starred restaurant awaits to inspire you with French indulgences. When the city gets to be too much, retreat to the spa enclave or into your own elegant hideaway. Boutique and classy – we’re fans.

The Peak
The Peak
A must-see spot in Hong Kong.  Apart from the fantastic views of the Victoria Harbour and HK skyline, I enjoy exploring the Peak through an hour-long walk around it. The walk is flat, suitable for everyone.  I like taking the peak tram from the lower Peak Tram terminus on Garden Road, less than 10 minutes’ walk from the hotel.  The Peak Tram is one of the world's oldest and most famous funicular railways.  As it rises to 396 metres above sea level, it is so steep that the buildings you pass look like they are leaning a gradient of between 4 to 25.7 degrees! It is an exciting trip whether you are way up or down.

Tai Kwun
Tai Kwun

Tai Kwun, formerly known as the Central Police Station, has been transformed into a beloved spot for heritage and arts, and for appreciation of Hong Kong’s colourful colonial past.  Located in the SoHo, a 10-min walk from our hotel, Tai Kwun is a stunning revitalisation project aims to serve as a destination, set in the heart of Central, for inspiring contemporary and performing art. I enjoy the diversity of Tai Kwun and love wandering around and admiring the unique architectural styles that span many decades.

Little Hanoi
Little Hanoi

This is a hidden gem tucked away in in Sheung Wan.  The cosy restaurant serves up Vietnamese classics such as Green papaya salad which is crispy and fresh;  The Buttered garlic chicken wings is to die for and the authentic taste of the Medium rare beef noodles is also my favourite.  Though space is tight, food is delicious and service is friendly.

The Chairman
The Chairman

No. 1 on Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants list 2021, The Chairman promises a pleasant and memorable meal carefully prepared with locally sourced ingredients.  Every dish demonstrates precise flavours and skilled culinary techniques. My favourites dishes are the Steamed fresh flowery crab with Shaoxing wine and rice noodles.  The aged Shaoxing wine elevates the natural sweetness of the crab while the silky rice noodles absorbs all the delicious goodness; Smoked pigeon with Longjing tea and Chrysantemum and Char Siu. Service is attentive.  Reservation is essential.

MO Bar
MO Bar

The Singaporean Laksa and Hainanese chicken rice at MO Bar are my go-to when I am craving for comfort food. The laksa is made with coconut broth, rice noodles, tofu puffs, fish cakes, prawns, chicken and sambal sauce. The chicken soup base of the laksa, after being cooked for hours, renders an intense, flavoursome taste. The chicken rice is divine. The chicken is tender and full of flavour while the rice, cooked in soup of lemongrass and galangal, is aromatic and  moist. The chilli sauce is made from a secret recipe which goes perfect with the chicken.
