On the road in Hong Kong

Follow the adventures of LuxuryHunt.com as the team hits Hong Kong to hand-pick the most heavenly stays in the vibrant, vertical city.

Hong Kong, there really is no other place like it on the planet; the iconic skyline, frenetic streets that buzz with neon lights and an energy that quickly gets under your skin. Our duo on the ground, founder Sii and photographer Thum, packed their bags for a week on the road to nail down the LuxuryHunt.com must experience places to stay, drink and dine in a city full of luxury and finery.

With some favorites already in mind and a few surprises along the way the Top 10 Sleep and Top 11 Taste collections are now in place! A big thank you to The Ritz-Carlton Hong Kong for the warmest hospitality that we could ever dream of, what gracious hosts and mind-blowing views! Impeccable rooms and the home of the highest bar in our collection.

It was such an honor to revisit the ever-so-refined Upper House, it brought back memories of our first stay some six years ago during the pre-soft opening when the elevators weren't yet working! We love the understated luxury and the ambiance is so warm, it was like returning back home.

It was so good to see Marcel and Antoine again and meet the full team at the amazing Cafe Gray Deluxe, you will always have a place in our hearts.

We had a wonderful time at the elegant Landmark Mandarin Oriental, Hong Kong, what an impressive hotel! Located in the heart of designer boutique heaven, this is the one of the few place where you can truly relax in immaculate guestrooms and the beautiful, unique spa was the best we seen. And we couldn't resist stopping by the locals favorite Mo Bar for a quick cocktail, just divine.

What an experience it was to meet the 'Grand Dame of the Far East', The Peninsula Hong Kong is impeccable, the embodiment of timeless class, welcome to our collection! The harbor views are hard to beat from the InterContinental Hong Kong on the Avenue of Stars where we lunched at the Michelin-starred Nobu Hong Kong. We can totally understand why Angelina Jolie chose to stay in the amazing Presidential Suite!

While in Kowloon we couldn't miss dining at stylish Aqua, it was great to be back, this is still one of our favorite places to drink and enjoy the amazing harbor views. Next door, sexy Hutong was a highlight of our trip, the dishes had a surprising spicy kick, we loved it! It felt so perfect for Hong Kong, an truly authentic dining experience with amazing views.

Island Shangri-La Hong Kong was the urban sanctuary we had been wishing for, we couldn't take our eyes off the huge mural and the roof garden at the executive level was a beautiful surprise. We are big fans of Hotel Indigo Hong Kong Island, the concept is fresh, colorful and refined, so relaxing!

It was a delight to discover the chic design of boutique Mira Moon, and W Hong Kong's Extreme WOW Suite blew us away! What a quirky, cool hotel with bags of class. Ovolo Hotel Southside is something else, a warehouse conversion in an artsy neighborhood with a boho-chic vibe in the air and adventurous designs that make you feel alive!

We stopped by Cafe Causette to soak up the ambiance, a perfect place to people watch, and tasted the Japanese delights at Zuma before ending the week with fun celebration drinks at Artesian. It was not just the art-deco design at Artesian that captivated us, the very talented, passionate and extremely good looking bar tender had plenty to do with it too!

Now back at base we are busy preparing the Hong Kong collection to go live, but our team will soon be on the road again in January jetting off to Myanmar and Laos for the next leg of the LuxuryHunt.com journey!
